It is 500 years since the first edition of Thomas More's "Utopia" and the invention and first appearance of the word itself. To mark the date, Alessandro Marinuzzi - together with the Eutopia X collective that will unite with him for the next few months - is going back to the source of the multi-faceted and visionary cultural icon that pervaded humanistic and post-humanistic Europe. He seeks to address this with many questions from our disturbing contemporary times, using the transversal action of a multidisciplinary-disciplinary artistic and performance-based approach, in the 'mise en abîme' of an investigation of theatre and contemporary art.

Alessandro Marinuzzi is a director, artistic consultant and theatrical coach. He was born in Trieste in 1960, and trained as a film director with Andrea Camilleri, Aldo Trionfo and Luca Ronconi in Rome at the "Silvio D'Amico" Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica. He completed his studies in Paris and in Belgium with Armand Delcampe, Josef Svoboda and Jean-François Politzer.
He has collaborated with CSS Teatro stabile di innovazione del Friuli Venezia Giulia since 1989, with the Teatro Stabile Sloveno in Trieste and the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia, and with other productions in Italy, Belgium, France, Croatia, Germany and Switzerland.
