Lucy/The Bears

Alberta, Canada. Lucy lives with her father and sister in a small town surrounded by nature and cut in two by a highway. In a geographical location where it is not difficult to meet bears, she begins to see some very different ones, white and transparent. The first to appear is Lucy's bear, and she greets it with amazement and wonder: "It fell from the sky never to leave me again".
Gradually, others appear until there is a veritable invasion: each person has their own bear to watch over and accompany them. But Lucy is the only one who sees these surprising and mysterious creatures, and her stories cause confusion throughout the town. A grizzly alert is issued on the radio and the anti-bear militia is mobilised.
A story of boundaries and contrasts: between childhood and adolescence, between Lucy's inner world and the outside world, between the intimacy of the Wing family and life outside the home, between the small Canadian town and the nature that surrounds it.
In a realistic and contemporary scene, bears appear in the form of video projections, revealing the protagonist's gaze and her ability to transform pain into an opportunity to relate to others.
A story that tells another point of view, a personal way of looking at the world and trying to make sense of it.
