A and B have been friends for a while. They met at a party and have kept in touch with each other ever since.
They are different people, but they know what it means to discuss important issues together. The only problem is that A tends to drink a little 'too much and B is engaged to the wrong person. Or at least, that’s what A thinks.
A thinks that that the relationship will end badly. B thinks that A has a problem with alcohol.
The situation takes a turn for the worse when A participates in a protest against the government’s military intervention in Iraq, while B fully supports the war.
An intervention is a contemporary text that speaks about the issues of our time. It questions our conscience over issues of international politics, and armed interventions that provoke civil wars in other countries.
It calls on us to reflect on what is happening around the world while our lives seemingly continue the same as ever, amid love, betrayal, friendships, and small everyday acts of selfishness.
In the script the author states that A and B can be played by actors of any age, gender or ethnicity.
